Kathleen Chandler
President and Founder of Living Legacy Campus
Kathleen is originally from the Traverse City, Michigan area. She attended Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science, emphasis in Medical Technology, with a Chemistry minor. She did her internship in the laboratory at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City and received her MT certification through the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
Kathleen has worked as a Medical Technologist (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) at the University of Michigan Medical Center, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, since 1994. She was promoted to Specialist, then Sr. Clinical Technologist of the HLA Laboratory where she oversees many of the DNA section operations, training, etc. The HLA Laboratory supports the transplant programs by performing HLA typing and HLA antibody testing to match donors and recipients for solid organ and bone marrow transplants.
Kathleen was a key organizer in a three-year process for a major laboratory renovation and relocation in 2018. She also has experience with event planning and church group leadership.
It is Kathleen’s passion to create a long-term drug rehabilitation center that heals the “whole person” and provides a supportive environment for clients to thrive once they complete the program.
